Fort Amherst
Fort Amherst was built in the 1770s to defend the entrance to the Narrows. The original fort has long disappeared. During the second World War, gun placements were installed to protect the harbour from German u-boats.
I am self-employed with varying amounts of spare time on my hands....some days none and other days less than that....I have always enjoyed photography and have had a variety of point and shoot cameras. recently I broke the bank and now my tool of choice is an Olympus evolt E-500, it's been a lot of fun and very rewarding learning the potential of this one. please feel free to comment on the pictures I post
